Denmark (Ga.) running back Jordan Brunson verbally committed to Virginia Tech on Tuesday. Brunson announced his decision on social media.
"Met a lot of great coaches and really enjoyed everything about the recruiting process but today......... I’m committing to Virginia Tech!!" Brunson tweeted.
The Hokies are one of two power five teams (Boston College) to offer the 6-foot, 210-pounder. Brunson has plenty of other offers from FBS schools including Akron, Charlotte, Coastal Carolina, Colorado State, Old Dominion, Kent State and Western Michigan.
Brunson, who ran a 4.4 40-yard dash this summer, received an offer from Virginia Tech on June 8 after visiting campus earlier in the month. He ran for 935 yards with a team-high 15 touchdowns for South Forsyth as a junior in 2018. He's currently unranked by 247 Sports.
Virginia Tech has five verbal commits for its 2020 signing class including fellow running back C.J. Beasley, a 5-foot-9, 170-pound back out of Maury High School (Norfolk, Virginia). The three-star back verbally committed on May 24.
