The Carolina League announced the rosters of its 2019 all-star teams on Tuesday, and the Salem Red Sox will be represented by three players.
Leading the list is pitcher Kutter Crawford, the right-hander who has a 3.14 ERA over 13 starts and 63 innings. He has won four games during that stretch, with 73 strikeouts.
Also named to the team were first baseman Pedro Castellanos and shortstop Ryan Fitzgerald.
Fitzgerald is hitting .315 for the Red Sox, with a team-best 39 RBIs. He has 19 extra-base hits.
Castellanos is hitting .279 with 37 RBIs, while sporting a .980 fielding average.
The league will also recognize former Sox outfield Jarren Duran, who was recently called up to Double-A Portland. Before leaving Salem, Duran was leading the Carolina League in batting average (.387), on-base percentage (.456), slugging percentage (.543), hits (77) and runs (99). He was second in stolen bases (18).
The all-star game will be played Tuesday, June, 18, at the Frederick Keys' home — Nymeo Field.
