Jimmy Christ, a 6-foot-7, 280-pound offensive lineman who is rated the No. 3 prospect in Virginia by rivals.com for 2020, has made a verbal commitment to Virginia.

Christ's father, Mike, said that Penn State, Notre Dame and Oklahoma were among the finalists before his son picked UVa.

Jimmy Christ, who plays for Dominion High School in Sterling, is the younger brother of UVa defensive tackle Tommy Christ, who started three games last year as a redshirt freshman.

Jimmy Christ is rated a four-star prospect by both rivals.com and 247sports.com, which has him as the No. 7 prospect in the state.
