Pimpleton had five catches for 50 yards in a 48-10 win over North Illinois to earn bowl eligibility. The wide receiver scored on a 14-yard pass from Quinten Dormady on CMU’s opening drive. He attempted his second pass of the season and returned two punts for 9 yards.
Pimpleton also made a circus catch on a ball that he scooped off the back off a defender that tried to make a diving interception. The ball initially tipped off his hands, but Pimpleton never gave up on the play.
Sean Savoy, Maryland WR: Savoy started for a third straight game, but didn’t record any statistics in a 38-7 loss to Michigan. He has six catches for 56 yards this season.
Eric Kumah, Old Dominion WR: Kumah is done for the season after playing a fourth game last week. After missing four straight games with a knee injury, the team decided to redshirt the wide receiver under the new NCAA redshirt rules. Kumah had 18 catches for 192 yards this season (still a team-high). Kumah had three catches for 24 yards in a 31-17 loss to Virginia Tech earlier this season.
Darius Fullwood, William and Mary DL: Fullwood had one tackle in a 31-29 win over Elon that went into five overtimes.
DuWayne Johnson, Syracuse DB: Johnson played, but didn’t record any statistics in a 58-27 loss to Boston College.
Chris Cunningham, Old Dominion TE: Cunningham (concussion) missed the team’s 24-17 loss to FIU. It was the second straight game Cunningham sat out. He has six catches for 82 yards this season.
D’Andre Plantin, North Texas OL: Plantin didn’t play in a 52-26 win over UTEP. A hand injury has forced him to miss three straight games.
Cam Goode, UCF DL: Goode didn’t play in a 44-29 win over Houston. It was the third time in four games the defensive tackle hasn’t played.
Sam Denmark, Coastal Carolina WR: Denmark didn’t play in a 36-35 win over Troy.
Jordan Stout, Penn State K: Penn State had an off week ahead of a game against No. 13 Minnesota on Saturday.
Jarrett Hopple, USF OL: South Florida had an off week ahead of a game against Temple on Nov. 7.
