I am supporting and plan to vote for RoxAnne Christley for Windsor Hills Supervisor on June 11 based on her platform of working with all stakeholders to make increased economic development not just wishes or plans but reality. Residential taxpayers are paying more than necessary because we don’t have the business tax revenue to decrease the residential share. Triple Bond ratings require a ratio of residential to business tax revenues of 70/30. We are currently at 87/13. We need more business revenue but that won’t happen without actively preparing, promoting and recruiting new business and trade into our area.

Improving emergency response times on Bent Mountain and in other rural areas of Roanoke County thereby increasing business, residential and school safety.

Expanding student apprenticeship opportunities at the high school level in high demand trades.

Working with VDOT to promptly repair the many secondary county roads that are in poor condition.
