Occasionally I read political commentaries pertaining to politicians wanting to legislatively roll back the clock trying to forestall or reverse societal changes. Think immigration, climate change, voter registration, etc. However, change is an inevitable aspect of life. Look no further than a mirror, then at a photo of yourself from a much earlier age. Better yet, just peruse a well researched history book.
A glaringly obvious example of the inevitability of change is in the proliferation of body ink and metal. Not long ago it was nearly impossible to expect to secure employment if you had visible tattoos or body hardware. In the span of a little more than, seemingly, a generation, it appears nearly everyone displays one or both. Which makes me wonder if, in the not to distant future, in order to get a job you must have a tattoo, hardware or both!
