LIGGETT Peggy Anne January 28, 1938 June 11, 2019 Peggy Anne Liggett, 81, of Glasgow, Va., died Tuesday morning, June 11, 2019, in her home. Born January 28, 1938, in Homer City, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Ralph C. and Virginia Worley Liggett. She was preceded in death by her loving sister, Grace L. Lane; and brother-in-law, Charles W. Layne. Peggy was employed by The Natural Bridge of Virginia for 30 years, and later retired after 14 years of working at the K&W Cafeteria in Roanoke, Va. She was a member of the Glasgow Presbyterian Church. Peggy is survived by two sisters, Joyce L. Tollinger (Thomas) of Centennial, Colo., and Janie L. Baer (Mitch) of Fairfax, Va.; four nephews, Alan T. Tollinger of Alhambra, Calif., Andy C. Tollinger of Casselberry, Fla., David S. Baer of Aviano, Italy, and Matt L. Baer of New York City, N.Y.; two nieces, Adele T. Harbick of Castle Rock, Colo., and Allyson T. Gehring of Littleton, Colo.; ten great-nieces, and one great-nephew. Peggy was a wonderful and doting Aunt to her nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephew! She also leaves behind her faithful dog, Hoover, a loyal companion to Peggy. The family would like to thank Rev. Wayne Meredith, pastor of Glasgow Presbyterian Church, for his undying support and care for Peggy over the many years, as well as the love shown by her many friends, relatives and wonderful caregivers who meant so much to her. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, June 17, 2019 at Glasgow Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Wayne Meredith officiating. Interment will follow at the Glasgow Cemetery immediately following the service. Visitation for family & friends will be held from 1 until 1:45 p.m. before the service at the church. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Meals on Wheels, The Glasgow Rescue Squad and the Glasgow Presbyterian Church. Harrison Funeral Home is serving the family.
