A behind the scenes look at Virginia Tech’s summer routine with Dalton Keene

From Michael Niziolek

Virginia Tech’s summer conditioning program is in full swing.

Workouts, skills and drills, team meetings, course work — it’s all in a day’s work for Tech football players this summer.

The Roanoke Times got a look "in the trenches" with Virginia Tech tight end Dalton Keene last week. He took us behind the scenes to see what players go through during the summer months.

“There may be 12 games guaranteed each year, 12 Saturdays, but these guys put in a tremendous amount of work for those 12 opportunities,” Virginia Tech associate athletic director for strength and conditioning Ben Hilgart said.
