A man was stabbed at his home early Tuesday in southeast Roanoke, police said.

Officers went to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital about 2:30 a.m. after a man arrived with a stab wound to the torso, police spokeswoman Caitlyn Cline said.

Investigators learned that the man was at home in the 1300 block of Mabry Avenue Southeast when people he didn’t know broke in. They fought, and the assailants stabbed the man, according to Cline.

The man drove himself to the hospital.

No one had been arrested in the case as of Tuesday afternoon, Cline said.
