A Pulaski man and his alleged attacker ended up in the same hospital after a Wednesday evening stabbing, town police reported Thursday.
Chris Dominic Ace, 22, of Pulaski was charged with aggravated malicious wounding after a series of events that involved a stabbing at Meadowview Apartments, an alleged flight and a vehicle crash on Cleburne Boulevard.
According to a police news release, Pulaski officers were called at about 6:32 p.m. to Meadowview’s Building 200, where a stabbing was reported to have just occurred. A man there had multiple wounds and officers immediately applied a tourniquet, the news release said.
Police did not name the victim of the stabbing, but said he was taken to LewisGale Hospital-Pulaski, then to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. The victim is now in stable condition, the news release said.
The alleged stabber had fled from the apartments before police arrived. But a short time later, he was involved in a crash in the 4000 block of Cleburne Boulevard in Pulaski County, the news release said.
After the crash, Ace was taken on the same route of hospital care as his alleged victim — to LewisGale Hospital-Pulaski, then to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, where he is in stable condition, the news release said.
