The Roanoke Times is tracking homicides in Roanoke to understand the city’s deadly violence and to memorialize victims. This map is updated as regularly as possible. Crimes meet the FBI Uniform Crime Reporting criteria for homicides, used by law enforcement agencies for consistent comparisons between years. This tracker goes back to 2007.

Anyone with information about these homicides can call Roanoke police using the Roanoke Valley Crime Line at 344-8500. Callers can remain anonymous. If you want to include a photo with a victim, you can email news@roanoke.com or call 981-3340. In an email, include your name and contact information so a reporter can follow up.
