CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Fifth-seeded and 16th-ranked Virginia Tech lost to fourth-seeded and 12th-ranked Florida State 65-63 in overtime in an ACC Tournament quarterfinal today at the Spectrum Center.

Terance Mann hit a fading jumper from the baseline with 1.8 seconds left in OT to give FSU the 65-63 lead.

FSU beat Tech in OT for the second straight week.

The Hokies trailed just 26-24 at halftime despite being 0 of 11 from 3-point range in the first half. Tech shot 38.5 percent from the field in the first half.

The Seminoles built a 17-4 lead with 12:03 left in the half. FSU was shooting 60 percent from the field and was 3 of 5 from 3-point range at that point. Tech was shooting 20 percent from the field and was 0 of 5 from 3-point range at that point.

Tech went on a 20-7 run to tie the game at 24 with 1:17 left in the half.

Kerry Blackshear was 3 of 9 from the field in the first half.

FSU shot 37.5 percent from the field in the first half. FSU led on the boards 20-11 in the half.

FSU scored seven straight points to build a 33-25 lead with 16:32 to go. Tech was 0 of 12 from 3-point range at that point.

Blackshear made Tech's first trey to cut the lead to 33-30 with 13:37 left.

But FSU made two 3-pointers and built a 39-32 cushion with 12:27 left.

Tech cut the lead to 39-37 with 11:20 left on a Hill trey and a Nickeil Alexander-Walker bucket.

FSU extended the lead to 42-37, but Hill made another trey to cut the lead to 42-40 with 10:08 to go.

After an FSU block, FSU answered with a trey.

Isaiah Wilkins scored to cut the lead to 45-42 with 7:32 to go.

After Alexander-Walker made one of two foul shots, Devin Vassell hit a 3 for FSU.

After an FSU turnover, Hill made a layup to cut the lead to 48-45.

After a Hill defensive rebound, Hill made a layup to cut the lead to 48-47.

After a Wilkins defensive rebound, Alexander-Walker made one of two free throws to tie the game at 48 with 4:06 left.

Mfiondu Kabengele made two free throws for FSU

Ty Outlaw later had a defensive rebound and Alexander-Walker made a layup to tie the game at 50.

Phil Cofer buried a trey to give FSU a 53-50 lead with 2:17 to go.

Blackshear scored with 1:58 left.

After a Blackshear defensive rebound, Blackshear scored off an Alexander-Walker assist to give Tech its first lead of the game at 54-53 with 1:14 left

After a Blackshear defensive rebound, Blacksehar scored again for a 56-53 lead with 18.6 seconds left. He was fouled on the play but missed the free throw.

Kabengele missed a trey. But Vassell made a corner trey while being guarded by Wilkins with 4.3 seconds left to tie the game at 56 and force OT.

Vassell dunked to give FSU the lead in OT.

After a Hill defensive rebound, Blackshear scored on a tip-in to tie it at 58.

Alexander-Walker made a jumper to give Tech the lead.

Kabengele scored to tie it at 60, but Alexander-Walker made a trey for a Tech lead.

Cofer made a trey to tie the game at 63 with 1:14 left.

Alexander-Walker missed a trey and a layup. Mann then scored.
