"Things happen — that's all they ever do," the band Dawes sings. Things with Dawes will be happening in Rocky Mount soon.

The Jackson Browne-inspired rockers (who backed him at FloydFest a few years back) are hitting the town's Harvester Performance Center on Aug. 7, on their "Password" tour. Tickets are $57 and $42 in advance, and will increase $5 day of show.

There's no "Roudabout" way of saying this. Yes singer Jon Anderson will play the room on Aug. 13. Tickets are $101 and $81 in advance.

Enough puns, right?

Canadian guitarist and world music purveyor Jesse Cook is scheduled for Oct. 22. Tickets are $47 and $34.50.

Jazz guitarist Lee Ritenour, who is actually a badass from way back, plays on Nov. 24. Tickets are $51.50 and $36.50.

Tickets to all these shows go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, via the links above.
