PUBLIC NOTICE Glade Creek Greenway, Phase 2 Town of Vinton, Roanoke County The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) and the Town of Vinton propose to construct a 0.50 mile section of the Glade Creek Greenway. This 10-foot-wide paved, multi-use trail will extend from the existing greenway trail at the intersection of 5th Street and Walnut Avenue, westward along Glade Creek and end at the trailhead parking lot at Gus Nicks Boulevard. In compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), 23 CFR Part 771, a Categorical Exclusion (CE) has been prepared to evaluate the potential environmental impacts of the proposed Glade Creek Greenway and was approved by the Federal Highway Administration for public availability. In accordance with the National Historic Preservation Act, Section 106 and 36 CFR Part 800, information concerning the potential effects of the proposed project on properties listed in or eligible for listing in the National Register of Historic Places has been provided in the CE. The document is available for review and comment for 10 business days at the Virginia Department of Transportation's Salem District Office located at 731 Harrison Avenue in Salem, Virginia.
