NOTICE OF PUBLIC COMMENT AND PUBLIC HEARINGS ON PROJECT AMENDMENTS TO THE ROANOKE VALLEY TRANSPORTATION PLANNING ORGANIZATION'S CONSTRAINED LONG-RANGE MULTIMODAL TRANSPORTATION PLAN AND FY18-21 TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM The Roanoke Valley Transportation Planning Organization (RVTPO) is accepting public comment on project amendments to Vision 2040: Roanoke Valley Transportation, its Constrained Long-Range Multimodal Transportation Plan (CLRMTP), and the FY2018-2021 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) until July 30, 2019 via the website: RVTPO will hold public hearings on the amendments at the Policy Board meeting on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Roanoke Valley-Alleghany Regional Commission (RVARC), Top Floor Conference Room, 313 Luck Avenue, SW, Roanoke, VA 24016. Citizens are invited to provide feedback via the website or in person on the Roanoke Valley's priority transportation investments as noted in these documents. The RVARC and RVTPO strive to provide reasonable accommodations and services for persons who require special assistance to participate in public involvement opportunities. Public notice of public participation activities and time established for public review of and comments on the CLRMTP and TIP satisfy the transit program of projects requirements.
