Peter Frampton

Peter Frampton performs on stage. His concert at the Berglund Center on Sunday has been canceled.

Peter Frampton’s concert scheduled Sunday at the Berglund Center was abruptly canceled Thursday afternoon.

Civic center staff don’t know the specific reason why the 1970s rock legend called the concert off. The cause cited was “unforeseen circumstances,” said Berglund Center general manager Robyn Schon. “At this point, they are not rescheduling.”

The concert had sold about 700 tickets. Schon said she had anticipated selling 200 to 300 more Friday.

Ticket buyers will automatically receive a full refund. The tickets are refunded at point of purchase, so for example, tickets purchased online will be refunded online, and tickets purchased over the phone will be refunded via phone call, Schon said.

For more information, call the Berglund Center at 853-2510.
