A lifelong lumberjack from Bedford County was killed Saturday morning while he was trimming branches when a nearby uprooted tree fell and struck him on the back of the head.

Terry Roach, 48, of Huddleston died shortly after 8 a.m. Saturday when he was working with a cousin and two other loggers in the Hardy area, said Capt. Patrick Meeks of the Franklin County Department of Public Safety.

Radford man, 25, charged in Blacksburg pizza shop robbery - roanoke.com

A Radford man has been charged with robbery by Blacksburg police.

Michael Terry Mark, 25, was charged in connection with a Nov. 16 robbery in the 800 block of University City Boulevard, according to a news release from the Blacksburg Police Department. A release by the town of Blacksburg last week said the robbery took place at Firehouse Pizza.
