You probably didn't notice it on such a warm, sunny, almost perfect fall weekend, but a cold front moved through the area from the north.
That will set up a few days this week that will not be as warm or sunny as they appeared they would be.
Any thoughts of Indian summer will be deferred, perhaps completely denied, by east and northeast winds that will bring in damp, cool air from the Atlantic, banking it against our mountains.
The result will be increasing cloudiness and scattered light rain and drizzle today and Tuesday. It could possibly extend into Wednesday.
As recently as late this past week, it looked like we'd have several days of sunshine and highs near 70. But the weather pattern has made a shift.
There may be a day or two of sunny and mild weather late in the week, but by about Saturday or so, a stronger cold front will move in from the northwest.
That will return cold air from Canada and knock the top off any warmup.
Don't even be surprised to see more mountain snow showers by the coming weekend.
