Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood coming to Roanoke
Country music hitmakers Keith Urban and Carrie Underwood are coming to Roanoke.
They will perform at the Roanoke Civic Center on Feb. 16. Ticket sales begin at 10 a.m. Friday
Urban and Underwood have combined the titles of their recent albums for a 24-city, “Love, Pain & the whole crazy Carnival Ride Tour.” Urban’s double-platinum album is “Love, Pain & the whole crazy thing.” Underwood’s is “Carnival Ride.” Both debuted at No. 1 on the country album chart. Between them, they have 12 No. 1 singles.
Underwood last performed in the Roanoke Valley in December 2006 at the Salem Civic Center. Urban has not played the valley.
In other concert news, a quadruple-bill of country and roots favorites are coming to the Roanoke Performing Arts Theatre. Emmylou Harris, Patty Griffin, Shawn Colvin and Buddy Miller will perform on Jan. 17. The concert is titled, “Three Girls and their Buddy Tour.” Ticket sales begin at noon Friday.
