A parade celebrated the 200th anniversary of Robert E. Lee’s birth in Lexington, Sunday, Jan. 14, 2007. Reenactors from across the region marched in Civil War regalia down Main Street after a memorial service for Stonewall Jackson. Immediately following the parade a memorial service was held for Robert E. Lee in Lee Chapel on the campus of Washington and Lee University.
