Breaking News: Virginia Tech shooting investigation to be updated Friday

A news conference scheduled for tomorrow on the April 16 Virginia Tech shootings will include "various investigative updates," according to a news release issued today by the state police. Virginia Tech and state police officials, who confirmed they'd decided to hold the joint news conference yesterday, have set it for 10:30 a.m. at the Wyndham Roanoke Hotel. Virginia Tech Police Chief Wendell Flinchum and state police Col. Steven Flaherty will speak during the news conference and field questions from the media, according to the release. An ongoing criminial investigation of the shootings has focused on Seung-Hui Cho, the man who police say shot 32 people and then himself.
