Top 4: Worst TV commercials
1. Head On: "Head On apply directly to the forehead, Head On apply directly to the forehead, Head On apply directly to the forehead." This commercial is one of the most talked about commercials of all time. It has become so well known that even the company is now making fun of itself and having actors recognize the annoyance of their commercial.
2. Cavemen: Now these cavemen even have a television sitcom and it started with a Geico commercial. The cavemen, too, have made a series of commercials off Geico's slogan, "So easy a caveman can do it." There are the commercials with the cavemen in the therapist's office, in the airport and on the TV set. From such a simple concept came cavemen stars.
3. Pepto Bismol: "Nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, diarrhea!" That awful jingle just cannot get out of my head. The little dance they do along with the song definitely did the job by getting people's attention. It is a little overboard, but isn't that the point of advertising?
4. Lamisil: This commercial is for a nail fungus treatment. They have the fungus lifting up the person's toenail like a trunk and hopping in. Every time I watch this commercial, it is like nails on a chalkboard. You cannot do anything but cringe at the thought of it, though I applaud them for the unconventional advertising.
