Tech backup in court
Virginia Tech reserve offensive lineman Bo Gentry, a Blacksburg High School graduate who is the son of Tech assistant athletic director Mike Gentry, appeared in Montgomery County General District Court on Thursday.
Gentry was charged by Blacksburg police in September with one misdemeanor count of underage possession of alcohol and one misdemeanor count of public intoxication. On Thursday, according to court records, Gentry was ordered to complete 25 hours of community service and enroll in a young offender program. The judge took both charges under advisement for a year and agreed to dismiss them if Gentry fulfills his court obligations and stays out of trouble.
