Harris missed his third straight day of practice Wednesday with a sprained left foot, and afterwards said it’s a “very slim chance” he will play in the Hokies’ season opener against East Carolina in Charlotte, N.C. “We’ve still got a couple of days to determine whether I can play or not,” said Harris, who was injured when his shoe came off and a teammate landed on his foot last Friday during Tech’s final full-scale scrimmage.
“I feel good. It’s just stiff a little bit. We’re about to go back in there right now and try to work on it a little bit and see what’s going on, and we’ll take it from there. I want to play.”
