Virginia Tech women's basketball team clobbers Elon

BLACKSBURG -- Utahya Drye recovered from her two-game slump to post a double-double in Virginia Tech's 82-46 blowout of Elon on Saturday at Cassell Coliseum.
Drye, last year's leading scoring, had scored just 12 points and made four of 16 shots in the previous two games. She scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds against the Phoenix.
The Hokies (4-2) got 18 points from Lindsay Biggs, who made four of seven 3-pointers, and freshman Alyssa Fenyn had 14 points and five rebounds.
Freshman post Porschia Hadley had 10 points and eight boards for the Hokies, who outrebounded Elon 44-30.
Tiara Gause (12 points) was the only player to score in double figures for the Phoenix (2-2).
The Hokies led 47-23 at the half.
