Give Greg Baker, an Iowa teenager, credit for initiative. Baker started a fund-raising campaign to help him attend the Republican National Convention next month in New York.

But one of his "to whom it may concern" fund-raising letters went to Madison County Attorney Martin Ramsey. Ramsey, a Democrat, wished Baker luck but replied he would do better to invest in tickets to Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11." The teen's direct-mail program still needs fine-tuning.
