Fans can watch Virginia Tech football practices Aug. 10, 17

Virginia Tech fans will be able to get two glimpses of the Hokies in action before the season opener against Alabama.

The team announced Monday that it will have open scrimmages at Lane Stadium on Aug. 10 and 17. Both start at 7 p.m.

Tech released its practice schedule last week, with three scrimmages on the docket. The first two of those are the open ones.

The one Aug. 24, just before the Hokies begin their gameweek preparation for Alabama, is closed.
