Jaylen Bradshaw had long admired Virginia Tech, but despite having a rapport with the coaches over the years, the Oscar Smith wide receiver still hadn't shown quite enough to get an offer.
So when he attended the Hokies' one-day prospect camp in Blacksburg last Sunday, he did so on a mission.
"I was telling my mom, I refuse to leave this camp without an offer," he said. "So I mean, I went there with a purpose and did what I had to do and it paid off."
Bradshaw became Virginia Tech's 10th commitment for 2014 on Wednesday, saying he'll sign with the Hokies next February.
247 Sports rates him as a two-star prospect and Rivals does not have a ranking for him at all.
The 6-foot, 175-pound Bradshaw caught 35 passes for 720 yards and three touchdowns last year.
Bradshaw runs a 4.4-second 40-yard dash and has a 39-inch vertical, according to Oscar Smith coach Rich Morgan.
