Virginia Tech coach James Johnson has hired former Shenandoah coach Robert Harris as his director of basketball operations.
Harris coached the Hornets for 11 seasons. He spent the past school year as Charlottesville High School's director of student activities (including athletics).
Also on the basketball front, Johnson said he has given a scholarship to walk-on Will Johnson. The scholarship recently became available when signee Donte Clark was not admitted to the university.
