Virginia Tech women's basketball coach Dennis Wolff announced the hiring of Jermaine Woods, who spent the past three seasons as the girls basketball coach at Maury High School in Norfolk, as an assistant coach.
Woods, who played basketball at Christopher Newport, has also been a coach for Boo Williams AAU teams.
