Rob Burns, a 6-foot-8, 226-pound defensive end from Stone Bridge High School in Loudoun County, has become the 18th player to make a football commitment to Virginia for 2011.
Burns picked the Cavaliers over Penn State, Stanford and Boston College. He also had offers from Maryland and Duke, according to rivals.com.
