E.J. Scott, a coveted wide receiver from Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, Md., was one of two football recruits to commit to Virginia on Saturday.
The Cavaliers also took a commitment from Ryan Cobb, a 6-foot, 216-pound linebacker from Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey, N.J.
Scott, a 5-11, 172-pounder, scored touchdowns on seven of his 18 receptions last year and averaged more than 26 yards per catch. Scott, whose speed is listed at 4.41 seconds for 40 yards, had 10 Division I-A offers, according to rivals.com.
UVa now has four commitments for the class of 2010.
