Virginia received a football commitment Friday from Jordan Ellis, a 5-foot-11, 180-pound running back from Peachtree Ridge High School in Suwanee, Ga.
Miami of Ohio and Western Kentucky earlier had extended offers to Ellis, who rushed for 850 yards and nine touchdowns as a senior.
He also had received interest from North Carolina, Wisconsin and Mississippi State, according to rivals.com.
Ellis is the seventh player to commit to Virginia for 2014, four from out of state.
