UVa women advance NCAA rowing semifinals

INDIANAPOLIS - The Virginia women's rowing team will advance all three of their boats to the semifinals of the NCAA Championships in Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis.

The Cavaliers raced two teams in the Varsity Eight competition, boats Varsity Eight and Second Varsity Eight. The third boat completed in the Varsity Four competition. Both Varsity Four and Varsity Eight finished first in their respective heats to advance while Second Varsity eight advances after a second place finish.

All three teams look to place in the top six in the NCAA semifinals to qualify for Sunday's grand finals.
