Fantasy football forecaster

Although my week has been comprised of getting ready for my buddy Jeff's wedding in Atlanta this weekend, I haven't forgotten about my fantasy followers, and I haven't forgot about the Thursday game either.

I did forget, until recently, how much I hate shopping for clothes.

There are rare instances in my life when I need a suit, and shopping for formal attire isn't exactly a skill of mine. And neither is decisiveness.

After deciding on what I wanted, I have a mini panic attack as I walk to the checkout counter where I start to wonder if the suit jacket I just tried on 37 times still fit me.

So, I'll go try it on again.

Long story short, it took me 1 12 hours to pick out one suit last Saturday.

Luckily, I think making fantasy football picks is far less frustrating than knowing what tie goes with what pants. And I think my picks this week should be solid.

On to Week 11 with minimal panicking.

Quarterbacks

Tony Romo, Cowboys

The Redskins have given up a lot of big plays lately and Miles Austin could help Romo torch the secondary.

Carson Palmer, Bengals

I think he'll do better against Oakland this week than he did against the Steelers last week.

Running backs

Ricky Williams, Dolphins

He's probably playing every week for you anyway, but with Ronnie Brown out, he should be in your starting lineup and you should have a big, wide smile on your face.

Beanie Wells, Cardinals

How many times do I pick a guy because he's going against a bad team? The answer is often and here's another example as Wells goes against St. Louis.

Wide receivers

Santana Moss, Redskins

He seems to come up big against Dallas and if the Redskins can keep Dallas honest with the run, he could do it again this week.

Robert Meachem, Saints

It's pretty hit or miss with which Saints receiver will have a big game, but each one of them has to be ready if Drew Brees calls their number. I'm hoping it's Meachem this week.

Tight ends

John Carlson, Seahawks

I don't even know why I bother picking tight ends anymore. This isn't a complete guess. More like an educated guess. Like a hypothesis. Remember that from biology class?

Kevin Boss, Giants

The Falcons have problems right now and the Giants should be motivated to get a win after a hideous losing streak.

Kickers and defense

I'm going to go with Neil Rackers of Arizona for my kicker this week.

And the Chargers defense should look to make a statement against the reeling Broncos.

Last week

Hits: Kyle Orton, Ladell Betts, Pierre Garcon, Rob Bironas.

Misses: Matt Ryan, Marshawn Lynch, Brandon Pettigrew, Joey Haynos.

So-so: Percy Harvin, Cardinals defense.
