Fantasy football forecaster

So, I hope everyone had a nice Halloween which is, by the way, the most overlooked and fun holiday on the calendar.

Look at all you get:

Scary movies and candy galore.

You can wear absolutely anything you want and get away with it and, come to think of it, go out in public and party in that attire.

And you get the opportunity to scare the heck out of anyone who comes to your house.

Think about what would happen if a group of kids came by your residence in July and you popped out of the bushes with a wolf mask screaming bloody murder?

Would it be funny?

Absolutely!

Would you be incarcerated or committed?

Most likely.

And I'll just write the word "offense" here so at least one part of this introduction has to do with football.

Unless its my Redskins. Ouch.

Week 8 go!

Quarterbacks

Marc Bulger, Rams

It's the Rams and the Lions in an epic showdown of brutal awfulness. Both defenses are terrible and if your QB is on a bye, he's worth a look.

David Garrard, Jaguars

Jacksonville is playing the Titans and this isn't the sick Titans defense of last year. He should be a solid play.

Running backs

Matt Forte, Bears

He's been a disappointment this season thus far but he has a favorable matchup this week and I expect to come up huge. I won't say who he's playing but the team's name is just a color and they're very bad. Can you guess?

LeSean McCoy, Eagles

Keep an eye on Brian Westbrook's health, but it looks like McCoy is a solid start in a big game against the Giants.

Wide receivers

Austin Collie, Colts

Because he has Peyton Manning throwing to him. I'm good for at least three catches and maybe a score if he's the QB.

Nate Burleson, Seahawks

Look for Seattle to throw with success against Dallas. And that will benefit the receivers! That was your "duh" statement of the column this week.

Tight ends

Tony Scheffler, Broncos

He's a pretty darn good tight end and I expect him to get more involved with the offense. He'll also be a good outlet for Kyle Orton against the Ravens this week.

Owen Daniels, Texans

He's not a sleeper by any stretch but I'm running out of tight ends to pick. As I've said before though, with tight ends, you never know what they'll produce from week to week.

Kickers and defense

Let's go with Josh Brown from the Rams as the kicker this week and the Saints defense in a big division game with Atlanta.

Last week

Hits: Miles Austin, Laurence Maroney, Benjamin Watson, David Akers, Eagles defense.

Misses: Steve Breaston, Jermichael Finley.

So-so: Ben Roethlisberger, Matt Ryan.

Injured: Donald Brown.
