Leah Keaton had 18 kills and five blocks as Northside defeated Salem 25-18, 16-25, 25-20, 25-21 in a nondistrict volleyball game Tuesday.
Carly Altizer kept the Vikings' offense on track with 40 assists. Altizer and Olivia Earls combined for 32 digs to key the defense for the Vikings (6-1).
Salem (1-2) was paced by Jordan Hayes with 38 assists and 17 digs, Barrett Kemp with 12 kills and 14 digs, and Carly Studtmann with eight kills and three blocks.

Roanoke Catholic def. Eastern Montgomery 25-14, 25-7, 27-25
Ashley Deer launched seven aces, two kills and handed out 20 assists as the Celtics swept the Mustangs.
Allison George had five aces and three kills and Zoe doubles added five kills and an ace for Roanoke Catholic.
Sarah Simpkins led Eastern Montgomery (0-3) with eight kills and two aces, Afton Graham added five kills and two aces and Scarlet Sisson dished out 11 assists.
Kristi Shrader also had four aces for EastMont.
Glenvar def. Alleghany 25-12, 25-17, 25-15.
Lexie Trinchere recorded a team-high 25 assists and added five aces as the Highlanders (3-0, 0-0) defeated the Mountaineers.
Amber Smith and Megan Ward tied for a team-high eight kills. Smith contributed two blocks while Ward recorded 10 digs.
Haley Green added six kills and a team-high seven aces.

MONETA - Taylor Jones put away 13 kills and Katelyn Dellis added 17 assists and seven aces as the Golden Eagles defeated the Pioneers. Brittney Cawley added five kills and two blocks for Staunton River (1-2).

HILLSVILLE - The Maroon Tide (4-0, 0-0) won its fourth game in a row after rallying from two games down to beat the Cavaliers in five games.
Megan Alderman recorded a team-high 20 assists, eight digs, and one ace for Carroll County. Jessica Sheek and Eustaica Smith each had 16 kills, with Sheek adding six aces.

PEARISBURG - Alex Hawks returned to her natural position of outside hitter after Emily Harless returned from a week-long injury and had 13 kills to lead the Spartans to victory.
Tori Belcher added 17 digs and Alex Pennington had 15 assists.
Marion def. Tazewell 25-16, 25-21, 25-11.
MARION - Jordan Williams recorded a team-high 25 assists and contributed nine digs as the Scarlet Hurricane (1-2, 0-0) defeated the Bulldogs.
Taylor Richardson had a team-high 10 kills for Marion, while Kate Pennington recorded 16 digs and five aces. Bakker Cullop added seven kills and six digs in the win.
Roanoke Valley Christian def. Dayspring Christian 25-8, 25-9, 25-17.
The Eagles moved to 4-0 with the victory over the visiting Lions.
Pathway Christian def. SWVA Home School 26-24, 25-21, 25-17.
Rebekah Bolen had 12 kills and Emily Turpin had six aces as the Panthers won all three games from Home School.
