North Cross jumped out to an early lead, but Covenant striker Girma Feduku headed a defensive error into the goal in the 65th minute to force a 1-1 boys soccer tie Wednesday.
The Raiders (2-0-1, 0-0-1) scored in the 35th minute when Ezra Zigarwi finished a feed from teammate Jonty Chimbera. North Cross keeper Bennett Holley had 11 saves.
Goalie Ian White recorded nine saves for Covenant (0-0-1).

Leteashia Clark had seven kills and 12 digs for Covington as the Cougars fell to the Mountaineers. SaMone Moore recorded nine kills and teammate Burke Staunton finished with 18 assists for Alleghany. The game served as the opener for both teams.
Giles def. Narrows 25-7, 25-17, 25-16.
NARROWS — Alex Hawks led the Spartans with eight kills, one block and 13 digs. Teammate Courtney Ested had seven kills and two blocks. Narrows hitter Tiffany Perdue recorded five kills and Shana Davis had 10 assists. Narrows is 1-1 while Giles is 2-0.
