Salem's Harrison O'Keefe rallied from near-elimination Monday to win a third-round singles match in the USTA Boys 18-Under tennis championships in Kalamazoo, Mich.
O'Keefe trailed No. 26 seed Robbie Bellamy of Pacific Palisades, Calif., 5-3 in the third set and was two points from defeat before scoring a 6-4, 5-7, 7-6 (7-1) victory over the Southern California recruit at Kalamazoo College.
O'Keefe, 17, will face No. 14 seed Jared Donaldson of Cumberland, R.I., for a spot in the final 16 of national event.
O'Keefe playe for Salem High School as a freshman in 2011 but has spent the past two school years training at Smith Stearns Academy in Hilton Head, S.C.
