Franklin County's Charmaine Hairston leads West girls to win VHSCA all-star basketball

NEWPORT NEWS — Two-time Western Valley District player of the year Charmaine Hairston (Franklin County) scored 20 points to lead the West over the East in Monday’s Virginia High School Coaches Association all-star girls basketball game at Christopher Newport University.

Keke Haynes (William Fleming) had 13 for the West, which led by three at halftime and by five after three quarters.

Ryjae Anderson, (Fleming), score four for the West, and Kristen Atwell (George Wythe) scored two points.
