Player of the Year
JOHN BRYANT | Galax | Senior
BRYANT won the rain-shortened VHSL Group A tournament at Lonesome Pine Country Club in Big Stone Gap with a 3-under-par score of 104 for 27 holes. He became the third member of his family to win a Group A title. Bryant's father, Doug, was a state champion in 1975 and '77; and his brother, Sam, won for Galax in 2005. Bryant finished second in Region C after winning the Mountain Empire District crown. He set a tournament record with a 3-under-par 69 in winning the Draper Valley Prep Classic. Bryant will attend the University of Georgia.

RYAN MONDY | BLACKSBURG | Senior
Shot a second-round 67 at Lakeview Golf Club in Harrisonburg to win Group AA title by one stroke with two-day total of 145. ... Placed fourth in Region IV and tied for second in the River Ridge District. ... Finished third in the Metro. ... Signed with Virginia Tech.
JUSTIN NICHOLS | LORD BOTETOURT | Senior
Tied for 4th in Group AA with two-day score of 147. ... Placed fourth in Region III. ... Won Blue Ridge District tournament. ... Had low stroke average in Blue Ridge regular season but missed one match and was not eligible for title.
KOREY WATTS | JAMES RIVER | Senior
