Player of the Year
CEYDA DURMAZ | Hidden Valley | Senior
DURMAZ returned to prep tennis after skipping her sophomore and junior seasons, and made the move pay off as she won the VHSL Group AA singles championship. She was 22-1 with her lone loss coming to Abingdon's Emily Henderson in the Region IV team final. Durmaz avenged that defeat with a win in the regional singles final, then she lost a combined six games in stopping Northside's Karlie Pope and Western Albemarle's Emily Kochard in the state tournament. She will walk on at William and Mary.
