Player of the Year
MICHAEL DROUGAS | Salem | Junior
DROUGAS capped a 20-0 singles season by claiming the VHSL Group AA championship at Virginia Tech. He defeated Fitzhugh Johnson of James Monroe 7-5, 6-1 in the state final after stopping Thacher Jennings of E.C. Glass 6-3, 6-0 in the semifinals. Drougas also reached the Region IV doubles final. He had three singles wins over Hidden Valley's Tim Roehr, including a recovery from match point in the River Ridge District final. Drougas is unbeaten in two years of singles play at Salem.

Won Virginia Independent Conference singles title with 6-1, 6-0 victory over teammate Michael Fleming. ... Was named VIS Division II player of the year.

THOMAS DUCKER | BLACKSBURG | Sophomore
Placed third in the River Ridge District regular season. ... Forced a tiebreak against Hidden Valley's Tim Roehr before losing 7-6, 6-2 in River Ridge singles semifinal.

MICHAEL FLEMING | NORTH CROSS | Freshman
Virginia Independent Conference singles runner-up as the Raiders' No. 2 player. ... Scored team's only victory in loss to Covenant in VIS Division II team final.

KUNAL GANDHI | ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY | Senior
Won the Blue Ridge District title for the second straight year. ... Lost 6-3, 6-1 in Region III tournament to eventual Group AA semifinalist Thacher Jennings of E.C. Glass.

TIM ROEHR | HIDDEN VALLEY | Senior
Finished 13-3 in singles with all three losses to Group AA champ Michael Drougas. ... Reached Group AA doubles semifinals. ... Led Titans to Group AA team semifinals.
