Ten Timesland players have been named first-team all-state in girls soccer by the Virginia High School Coaches Association.

Blacksburg placed midfielder Kim Shaver and forward Jessie Wollmann on the All-Group AA first team. They were joined by Salem defender Kim Migliarese, Northside midfielder Emily Rawlings and Jefferson Forest defender Jessica O’Bryant.

Radford put three players on the All-Group A first team: forward Lexi Denny, midfielder Megan Mitchell and defender Tess Carper. James River forward Kendall Moyer and Glenvar goalkeeper Paige Stinson also made first-team All-Group A.

Second-team Group AA picks from Timesland were Morgan Evans of Blacksburg, Cassidy Ratliff of Jefferson Forest, Emma Wade of Northside, Megan Branigan and Allie Higgins of Hidden Valley, Carrie West of Salem, Miriah Martin of Lord Botetourt, and Christiansburg’s Hannah Duff.

Group A second-team picks from Timesland were Courtney Estep of Giles, Hannah Showalter of George Wythe, and Valentina Donnini and Teresa Theimer of James River.

Murielle Tiernan of Stone Bridge (Group AAA), Sarah Hardison of Woodgrove (Group AA) and Claire Trevisan of George Mason (Group A) were players of the year.
