George Mason ended Gate City's hopes of a repeat title by winning the top four singles matches and rolling over Gate City 5-2 to head into today's Group A girls tennis state final against Radford.

Mason, Gate City teams advance in girls doubles

Kynadi Mauney and Carrinton Mauney of George Mason will face Rosa Smith and Emily Smith of Gate City in today's doubles final.

Mauney and Mauney defeated Abby Goszka and Lori Gagnon of Rappahannock 6-0, 6-2; while Smith and Smith beat Caitlin Williams and Rebecca Day of Graham 6-3, 6-4.

Harnad, Spotts in final

Miles Harnad and Connor Spotts of Wilson Memorial took a 6-1, 6-0 win over Chris France and Brandon Wiseman of Rappahannock in a doubles semifinal at Hunting Hills Country Club.

Harnad and Spotts will face Gate City's John Ferguson and Luke Funkhouser in today's noon final at Radford University.
