Bland County 17, Twin Valley 1
BASTIAN - Caleb Lambert and Bryan King each had three hits and two RBIs as the Bears won in five innings in the Yo-Na Invitational.
Tyler Faulkner and Zach Guyn each drove in four runs with a pair of hits for Bland (4-2). Tyler White got the win in relief.
Dalton Elswick led off the game with the only hit for Twin Valley (0-5).
Bland plays Northwood in a semifinal Wednesday.
Liberty 18, William Fleming 1
BEDFORD - Ryan Hensley went 3 for 3 with two RBIs as the Minutemen smashed the Colonels.
Dylan Oleson had two hits and three RBIs, while Will Grant drove in two runs with a pair of hits for Liberty (2-6).
Denver Aud got the win, pitching two innings.
Bassett 9, Dan River 6
BASSETT - Samuel Stambaugh's three-run home run in the first inning helped stake the Bengals to a 9-0 lead and they held on for a nondistrict win.
Nic Keister had three hits and scored three runs for Bassett
(7-3). Keister also was the winning pitcher in 5 2⁄3 innings.
Kemper Terry drove in three runs with a pair of hits for Bassett, while Jonah McReynolds and Michael Gauldin had two hits and an RBI.
Staunton River 3, Heritage 2
MONETA - David Thomas singled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Daniel Scott in the seventh inning as the Golden Eagles topped the Pioneers.
Paul Williams led Staunton River (6-2) with three hits. Thomas had two hits, and he pitched the seventh for the win.
Dakota Wright and Marshall Davis had three hits apiece for Heritage (5-7).
Dayspring Christian 14, Eastern Montgomery 12
ELLISTON - Evan Graybill pitched a complete game, struck out eight and added two hits at bat as the Lions topped the Mustangs.
Mikey Waltz had four hits for EastMont (1-5), while Josh Howard had two hits and four RBIs.

Galax 3, Fort Chiswell 1
GALAX - Andres Medina scored two goals to lead Galax over Fort Chiswell. Oliver Gonzalez had two assists and Mario Carranza added a goal for the Maroon Tide (6-0).
Mesiel Solis made one save.
Michael Arnold scored the lone goal for Fort Chiswell.
Graham 9, Narrows 1
NARROWS - The G-Men rolled to a 6-1 halftime lead as the 2012 Group A runners-up won a Mountain Empire District game.
Jake Ballard scored on a penalty kick for Narrows (0-6 0-1).
Martinsville 8, Dan River 0
Kyle Hathaway scored three goals to lead the Bulldogs (5-2-2). Zim Bela, Sam Dickerson, Brian Anderson, Michael Mason and Cody Martin added goals for Martinsville.
Sean Scaffidi posted a shutout in goal.
SWVA Home School 5, Roanoke Valley Christian 1
Jaquelyn Chick and Lilly Smith scored two goals apiece as the Conquerors avenged an earlier loss to the Eagles.
Megan Crews scored the other goal for Southwest (6-2).
Beth Snyder had the goal for RVC, which got 17 saves from keeper Lainie Register.
Dayspring Christian 4, Roanoke Catholic 0
Leah Hairfield scored two goals and Becca Goodhart added a goal and an assist as Dayspring Christian topped Roanoke Catholic. Geneva Hutchinson scored a goal and Johanna Bueher had two assists.
Hannah Tudor made nine saves for Roanoke Catholic.
Patrick Henry 17, E.C. Glass 6
LYNCHBURG - Carson Arnold blasted a grand slam and Hannah Snider added a three-run shot as the Patriots beat the Hilltoppers in five innings.
Rachel Hale had three hits for PH (3-7). Arnold and Snider each had two hits.
Taylor Clifton was the winner with three innings of pitching.
Northwood sweeps Marion
MARION - Micheala Carter drove in five runs with a grand slam and a single to lift the Panthers to a doubleheader sweep.
Carter also picked up the win on the mound, striking out five.
Carter struck out six as the Panthers topped the Scarlet Hurricane in three innings in the first game. Carter also had two hits and scored two runs for Northwood.
Staunton River 7, Heritage 4
MONETA - Taylor Carter's two-run single highlighted a five-run fourth inning as the Golden Eagles took a nondistrict win.
Lauren Mitchell and Carol Rice each had two hits for Staunon River (4-4). Starting pitcher Taylor Creasey got the win.
Jamie Pugh had three hits including a three-run home run in the seventh inning for Heritage.
Hidden Valley (club) 19, William Fleming 2
Hannah Miko, Callie Gregg and Michelle Hedrick scored three goals apiece as the Hidden Valley club team topped the Colonels.
Aniah Franklin and Imari Hamm scored for Fleming. Goalie Dakota Arbogast had 16 saves for the Colonels.
