LORD BOTETOURT DEF. JAMES RIVER 25-21, 19-25, 26-24, 16-25, 16-14.
DALEVILLE -- Lord Botetourt was just two points away from losing when Erin Lee served seven straight points, sparking an exciting rally for the Cavaliers (2-1). Lee also had 13 digs for Botetourt. Katey Hall added nine kills. Macey Tyree had eight kills and 17 digs, and Allyssa King finished with four kills and seven digs.
Taylor Statome had 30 assists for the Knights (1-1). Mary Beth Kern added 13 kills and four blocks. Conner Sprinkle finished with seven kills.
Glenvar def. William Byrd 25-19, 25-22, 25-11.
Alex Boitnott had seven kills, seven assists and seven digs to lead the visiting Highlanders (3-1). Allison Jones, Samantha Stinson and Boitnott all had four aces apiece. For Byrd (0-2), Madison Bensurowsky had five kills. Morgan Jackson added 12 assists and three digs. Kayla Mabe had four digs, and Sierra Spain had four digs and two kills.
North Cross def. Roanoke Valley Christian 25-9, 25-14, 25-14.
Gussie Revercomb had eight kills and Hilary Cox added five kills for visiting North Cross (2-0). Alexandra Martin added 22 assists for the Raiders.
Craig County def. Narrows 25-20, 25-20, 25-18.
NEW CASTLE -- Christine Surface had 12 assists and five aces to lead the Rockets (1-1). Holly Broughman added five kills and three blocks, and Sarah Lipps had four kills. Narrows fell to 2-1.
Pulaski County def. Marion 25-20, 25-22, 25-19.
DUBLIN -- Maddy Chitwood had 22 assists, and Tamar Smith and Becky Pennington added eight kills apiece for Pulaski County (2-1).
Northside def. Salem 25-22, 25-18, 25-23.
Ruth Anne Wilbourne had 12 assists. Kelsey Jarrett added nine kills, and India Hueston had four blocks to lead visiting Northside. Samantha Nguyen also had 10 digs for the Vikings (3-3). Alex Paxton had nine kills and Madeleine Dick had 12 digs for Salem (1-2).
Radford def. Fort Chiswell 25-20, 25-19, 25-14.
Maryah Sydnor had 17 kills, seven digs and three blocks to lead Radford. Alexis Finley had 29 assists and five aces and Harley Burton added seven kills and eight digs for the Bobcats (3-0).
Giles def. Graham 25-14, 20-25, 25-20, 25-20.
BLUEFIELD, Va. -- Giles improved to 1-1 with a four-set win.
