BLUE RIDGE DISTRICT
Northside def. Alleghany 25-15, 25-20, 25-21.
Ruth Ann Wilbourne had 28 assists as Northside beat Alleghany in the first round.
Samantha Nguyen had 17 digs and Kelsey Jarrett had nine kills for the Vikings (7-14), who will play Lord Botetourt in the semifinals at 6 p.m.
Host Staunton River will play the other semifinal against William Byrd.
THREE RIVERS DISTRICT
Radford def. Giles 25-12, 25-15, 25-14.
RADFORD -- Maryah Sydnor led Radford (13-6) with 17 kills and six blocks and Lindsey Smith notched 25 assists as the Bobcats advanced to the semifinals.
PIONEER DISTRICT
Craig County def. Covington 12-25, 13-25, 25-22, 25-23, 15-5.
NEW CASTLE -- Christine Surface totaled seven aces and 28 assists and Sarah Lipps added nine aces and eight kills to lead Craig County (9-12) to the semifinals.
Parry McCluer def. Highland 25-14, 25-19, 25-23.
BUENA VISTA -- Laura Shewey had 18 assists and four kills and Tori Gregory added nine service points to lead Parry McCluer (16-5) to the semifinals.
RIVER RIDGE DISTRICT
Blacksburg def. Salem 25-19, 25-19, 25-18.
BLACKSBURG -- Lauren Cusimano notched seven kills and eight digs; Katy Kipps had six kills and five blocks and Lydia Pickrell had 13 digs for Blacksburg (15-6) in the first round.
Christiansburg def. Pulaski County 21-25, 25-21, 25-14, 25-12.
CHRISTIANSBURG -- Emily Quesinberry had 20 kills and 10 digs. Emily Davis had 17 digs, 14 kills and four aces and Ashton Moran tallied 39 assists and 11 digs in the first round for Christiansburg (12-9).
SOUTHWEST DISTRICT
Marion def. Abingdon 25-18, 25-21, 27-25.
MARION -- Suzy Thompson tallied 10 kills, three blocks and three aces, Morgan Goodbrod had 31 assists and 10 digs and Miranda Hayden added 10 kills and six digs to lead Marion (13-8) past the first round.
SOUTHERN VALLEY DISTRICT
Rockbridge County def. Wilson Memorial 25-17, 16-25, 25-16, 25-23.
LEXINGTON -- Rockbridge County moves on to face Fort Defiance in the semifinals.
SEMINOLE DISTRICT
Liberty def. Brookville 25-20, 21-25, 14-25, 25-13, 15-13.
LYNCHBURG -- Kasey Bond led Liberty (5-14) with 22 kills and 17 digs. Hannah Martin had 36 assists and 13 digs, and Callie Glover notched 31 digs as Liberty advanced to the semifinals.
HOGOHEEGEE DISTRICT
Northwood def. George Wythe 25-18, 25-15, 11-25, 25-11.
SALTVILLE -- Carla Suthers had 15 assists and 14 digs and Julie Compton had 18 service points as George Wythe lost in the first round.
