Western Valley District

E.C. Glass def. Patrick Henry 25-12, 22-25, 25-23, 25-19

LYNCHBURG -- Liz Brailsford had 19 kills and 11 digs and Meredith Hale had 13 digs for Patrick Henry.

Carolyn Brailsford added 29 assists for the Patriots. Taylor Riley totaled 37 assists and 15 digs for E.C. Glass (18-2, 11-1), which also got 23 kills from Meg Kenny.

Franklin County def. William Fleming 25-11, 25-15, 25-12.

ROCKY MOUNT -- Franklin County (9-10, 5-2) got 15 assists and three kills from Kristen Bowling.

Jordan Templin had 11 kills and Samanatha Washburn four aces and two digs.

SOUTHWEST DISTRICT

Carroll County def. Abingdon 25-16, 26-24, 25-14.

ABINGDON -- Lauren Roper and Maleah Neely each had 10 kills for Carroll County (18-1, 11-0).

Sarah Singleton added five kills for the Cavaliers.

PIEDMONT DISTRICT

Tunstall def. Patrick County 25-16, 20-25, 23-25, 25-12, 15-12

STUART -- Kylene Culler posted 11 kills and 12 blocks for Patrick County (13-7, 4-4).

Casey Bradshaw had 32 assists and Deleigh Barbour nine kills for the Cougars.

Pioneer District

James River def. Craig County 25-16, 25-19, 25-20

NEW CASTLE -- Maribeth Kearns led James River (12-7, 6-3) with 19 kills, while Taylor Statome paced the Knights with 18 assists.

Stacey Zysk had four aces and Christine Surface recorded six assists for Craig County (8-12, 4-6).

THREE RIVERS DISTRICT

Floyd County def. Giles 25-14, 25-19, 25-11

FLOYD -- Courtney Smith had six digs and three kills, while Misti Bryant added four kills and two aces for Floyd County (9-10, 5-4).

Katie Long finished with seven kills and four aces for the Buffaloes.

Glenvar def. Eastern Montgomery 25-16, 25-16, 25-20

ELLISTON -- Julie Helton paced Glenvar (15-5, 8-2) with 11 kills and 28 digs, while Jessica Owen added 24 assists and seven digs.

Holly Hinshelwood finished with 14 assists for Eastern Montgomery (1-19, 0-9). Sarah Hinshelwood added six kills.

Auburn def. Radford 21-25, 25-11, 25-20, 27-25

RINER -- Jordan Watson had 15 kills and Katie Hudak 14 kills to lead Auburn (15-4, 8-1).

Watson added six blocks, while Haley Shepherd had 48 assists and four aces.

Maryah Sydnor finished the match with 17 kills, 11 blocks, and 27 digs for Radford (12-6, 6-4).

Lindsey Smith added 31 assists and 10 digs.

HOGOHEEGEE DISTRICT

Rural Retreat def. Chilhowie 25-23, 25-17, 14-25, 20-25, 13-15.

CHILHOWIE -- Krystal Patton carried the Warriors (17-2, 9-0) to the Hogoheegee District regular-season title with 25 kills, 15 digs and 15 blocks.

Lynsey Taylor tallied a team-high 31 digs, and Shannon Howell chipped in 21 assists.

River Ridge District

Hidden Valley def. Salem 25-16, 25-14, 25-14.

Samantha Ringer posted 10 kills as Hidden Valley (17-1, 8-1) cruised to a district win over visiting Salem.

Lotti Meadows had 20 assists and four kills for the Titans. Samantha Klostermann added six kills and seven digs.

Cave Spring def. Christiansburg 25-16, 25-16, 25-11.

CHRISTIANSBURG -- The Knights remained undefeated in the district, getting 23 assists and four aces from Taylor Baumann.

Emily Lawrence tallied six kills and three blocks for Cave Spring (16-3, 9-0).

Blacksburg def. Pulaski County 25-14, 25-15, 25-16.

BLACKSBURG -- Lindsey Henderson had 30 assists to lead Blackburg (13-6, 5-4) to the win. Jackie Greenberg added 13 kills and Lydia Pickrell 12 digs.

BLUE RIDGE CONFERENCE

North Cross def. Holy Cross 25-14, 22-25, 25-16, 25-16.

Mary McConaughy recorded five service aces, and Sarah Jessee contributed 20 assists to help the Raiders (19-2) pick up a victory.

Marli Davareiner tallied 13 kills for North Cross.

Roanoke Catholic def. Grace 25-22, 25-23, 25-21.

Roanoke Catholic advanced in the conference tournament, beating Grace in three games behind 14 kills from Aidan Guilfoyle. Ava Perez had 29 assists and two aces, while Mary Weatherman added 12 digs and four aces.

Mountain Empire district

Galax def. Bland County 25-11, 25-17, 25-4.

GALAX -- Galax (15-4, 8-0) won the Mountain Empire District regular-season title behind 18 kills, eight aces, five digs, and two blocks from Allison White.

Jenna White added 20 assists for the Maroon Tide.

Narrows def. Grayson County 25-18, 25-23, 25-21.

Blue Ridge district

Staunton River def. Northside 18-25, 19-25, 25-20, 25-18, 15-11.

Chelsea Eary's 13 kills, eight blocks, and nine digs paced Staunton River (9-9, 3-4) to victory. Jordan Merrill added 12 kills and Sarah Woodford 32 assists.

Northside (6-13, 2-5) got 11 kills from Kathleen Carr and 43 assists and four aces from Ruth Ann Wilbourne.

Samantha Nguyen added 33 digs for the Vikings.

William Byrd def. Alleghany 25-12, 25-18, 25-18.

William Byrd (9-10, 5-2) secured second place in the district tournament behind 10 kills and five aces from Samantha Webster.

Candice Brady and Sierra Spain combined for 25 assists for the Terriers.

Boys soccer

VIRGINIA INDEPENDENT CONF.

Holy Cross 2, North Cross 0

LYNCHBURG -- Yezid Gracia made seven saves for North Cross, but the Raiders lost to Holy Cross in the Virginia Independent Conference quarterfinals.

Cedric Anderson and Joe Bruzek each scored for Holy Cross.
