Celtics handed first loss
Cent. Va. Home School 55, Roanoke Catholic 14
RICHMOND -- Jared Simmons scored on runs of 97 and 10 yards as the Disciples scored all of their points in the first half to hand the Celtics their first loss on Friday.
Manny McClure, Chris Bullock and Jerome Wright also scored twice apiece for Central Virginia (6-1). Both of Wright's TDs came on fumble returns. Catholic (6-1) scored twice in the third quarter on a 5-yard pass from Mark Allman to Christian Akers and a 10-yard run by Nick Ollie.
